Do Regular Abdominal Cramps Indicate That The Cancer Has Returned After Having Full Hysterectomy And Diagnosed With Borderline Ovarian Cancer?

Hi, I had a full hysterectomy almost one year ago, border line ovarian cancer, they took out everything lately I get cramps like period cramps my last check up was in may and since then the cramos are pretty much daily. Not bad but they are there

Thanks for writing in.

Having cramps need not necessarily indicate a recurrence of cancer. After hysterectomy it can take 3 months to a year for complete surgical recovery. You must go for regular follow up imaging to rule out any recurrence. Cramps might be due to nerve stimulation occurring after surgery.
