Discomfor, Pain Behind The Navel Worsened After Lifting Weight. History Of Kidney Stones, Hematuria, Tubal Ligation, UTI. Suggest

I have pain radiating behind my navel. It seems to have worsened since lifting something yesterday. I have a little lower back pain, but I can't tell if it's related or just because I am compensating for the abdominal pain. I have had a kidney stone (passed prior to ER visit in late 2011) before and hematuria was found at that visit. I am also anemic & have been since having a tubal ligation in 2001 (heavy periods since then). I was treated for a UTI in 2011 and again in 2012. I followed up with my primary physician in regards to the hematuria. She wasn't very concerned. 2011 and 2012 pap smears were normal. Other than the pain I am experiencing now (worse if I bend or sit or lift), I have never felt completely "ok" since having the kidney stone or two UTI's. I will feel ok for a while and then some pain and discomfort. I am female, 38 years old, overweight (5'4 approx. 190#)

Hello and welcome.

Based on the information provided and the location of the pain, I would relate this either to the kidney stone or possibly a hernia (which could have gotten worse after the weight lifting).

Please look into the size of the stones and approach a urologist to address this problem and either help in break down of the stones or complete removal through surgical approach.

A physical examination would helpnin ruling out/diagnosing a hernia.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
