Difficulty In Having Sex. Taking Amlodipine Tablet For BP. Suggestions?

I am writing to know if you can advice me .I have a problem with my sex life,since 2 years I am taking the Amlodipine tablets 10 mg because I have high blood pressure ,it's very difficult for me to have sex with my spouse ,I cannot feel my spouse if she need to do sex
I have 45 years old

The causes for symptoms as mentioned in your post include:
1. Any abnormality in the blood flow in the penile blood vessels.
2. Systemic causes like Diabetes, Hyperlipidemia.
3. Increased stress or anxiety to perform.
4. Impotence is a known side effect of Amlodipine.
So, kindly consult an Urologist & get a proper clinical examination done.
Investigations like Doppler scan of the penile blood vessels, estimation of blood sugar level & lipid profiles will be helpful.
If symptoms are related to amlodipine intake, then discuss with your treating Doctor for a change in the medication.
There is no need to worry, you will be fine.

Hello Good Evening,
It has seen that amlodipine cause decreased libido and some impotence in males.
In your case you should consult to your GP to switch over another drug to control your Blood Pressure or to decrease your dose of amlodipine.
If it is not possible then ask him to be taken this in the morning hours only, by which you can get improvement in your libido.
