Diagnosed With PCOS, Thick Facial Hair, Irregular Periods, Prescribed Metformin, No Periods. Increase Dosage?

i am diagnosed with PCOS but there is no cyst in my ovaries, my insulin levels are normal, all my hormonal tests came back normal. I have thick facial hair and irregular periods and my Endo concluded that i have PCOS. She gave metformin to try for 6 months. Its been 2 months and no signs of Periods. Please help. Do i need to increase the dosage , i am on 1500 mg metformin currently. Please help.

thanks for your query at hcm.
metformin your using is already is higher dose, if symptoms are not improving it can be improved up to 2000 mg.
but there are side effects due to increased metformin dose.
My recommendation would be that you can visit your doctor and discuss about increase in dose or alternative medication
regards.
