Diagnosed SI Joint Inflammation. Prescribed Prednisone And Exercises. Severe Pain Doing Exercises. Help

My Dr diagnosed my pain in the butt area as SI Joint Inflammation. Prescribed prednisone for 12-days. Exercises to do and ice. Today was my 3rd full day on prednisone and doing exercises. I was in so much pain doing the exercises that I could barely get up from them. How long do I go before going back to see Dr if it continues to get worse before better?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C. M. Forum.
Sacroiliac joint pain is due to inflammation.
Pain as you mentioned is very excruciating hence simple anti-inflammatory will not work.
So first of all please get in blood examination for Rheumatoid arthritis, uric acid for gout, E S R for chronic infection, calcium level.
Bone density is must in this type of cases.
I advise you please don't move joint till inflammation subsides otherwise inflammation will aggravate.
Consult a physician and get one more powerful treatment.
Good luck.
