Diabetic, Itching All Over Body. Taking Humulin, Metformin, Tramadol. What Is The Cure?

I have severe itching over all my body
It is increased at night, I feel that I have to scratch my skin until bleeding sometime.
I am diabetic. I use Humulin N, metformin, baby aspirin, meloxicam, tramadol ( I Stopped it, because I supposed that its side effect my be due to tramadol and meloxicam; also I stopped using lisinopril 10mg which is used for me to control kidney and proteineuria)

Hi,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic,

After going through all available details you are Hypertensive and diabetic taking multiple drugs.

Severe itching could be result of allergic manifestation of one or more drugs, it could be due to Meloxicam,Aspirin, Metformin or Lisinopril.

You should visit Physician and stop all the drugs and take anti allergic as advised by Physician as he will also search for any other cause of itching like infection.

The essential drugs can be introduced one by one to see which drug is responsible for your symptoms.

If any drug is detected to have allergy it can be stopped and alternative can be given.

Please do not stop any medicine without consulting Physician as if you stop Lisinopril your B.P can shoot up alarmingly.

If metformin is stopped then you will be required to increase the dose of Insulin that is Huminsulin.

Symptomatic relief will be there with cetirizine like drugs and if dry skin is there clean it and use moisturizers to keep it soft.

Hope this helps.
Take care
Good Luck.
