Diabetes. Taking Glucophage, Hydrochlorothiazide For Kidney Stones. Side Effects?

20 years ago I was diagnosed with diabetes. Dr. prescribed glucophage (?).
I played tennis in desert every weekend at that time. Came home with sunstroke every week.
Now I am prescribed hydrochlorothiazide for kidney stones...read it may relate to sulfa issues.
My pharmacist says no...I am feeling the same now....is it just the heat in SoCal?

Hello,
These skin symptoms are due to the use of HYDROCHLORTHIAZIDE.
It is a sulfonamide and causes to become sunburned easily.
You must avoid sun.
You must use a sunscreen or wear protective clothing if you are outside for more than short time.
Thanks
