General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and thanks for writing in at HCM
I have read you mail in detail and wants to help you out. Usually the oral medication takes about half an hour to react but lot depend on the salt and packing.
Now about your second query, the one reason for the fever was Urinary Track Infection as per symptoms explained by you. If urine report shows pus cells than take a course of antibiotic by consulting your doctor. Other possibility may be viral infection. It takes about 2-3 days for resolving. Continue anti pyretic drugs for 3 days and even after that fever persist than go for a antibiotic course.
Best Wishes
