I would like to know what might cause dark circles under eyes and on the bridge of the nose . It seems that I might have worn glasses for years and the area turned dark, but I ve never worn glasses and I don t know how exactly it came about on my face. Someday s it seems darker, while others its very hard to see. Black Female| Age 19
Dear SM Fergus Hi,The major causes of dark circle around the eyes are anaemia, lack of sleep(insomnia),dehydration, protein malnutrition ,allery like contact dermatitis, sun allergy and hereditary.Look out for anemia and do a Hb test ,have a proper sleep and dietary habit, rule out if you are allergic to any thing from soap to cosmetic, protect yourself from sun
and dry heat, drink lot of water and see if other members of your family have dark circle too, as this may be hereditary.Show a dermatologist if it persist for a long time as he may guide you to use some moisturizer and rule out contact dermatitis....TC....dr Ajay Shankar Kar
