Dark Black Sore At The Back Of Throat. Tonsil Swollen With White Patches Which Hurts On Swallowing

In the back of my throat, above my tonsil. There is a dark black/red sore. It seems like it is above my tonsil but it may be part of my tonsil, it looks almost like a second tonsil above the one. My actual tonsil is somewhat swollen and has white patches on it. It isn t unbearably painful, but it does hurt to swallow.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
Red sore could be tonsil. The tonsil if enlarged with white spots but no pain then there is no need to worry . YOu should do regular gargles so that the tonsil is clean and there is no collection of food in the crypts . These crypts or spaces are normal and present in every one of us, but in some people food gets accumulated and then causes the infection and so tonsillar hypertrophy or enlargement.
Take care of reflux of food from stomach in food pipe from stomach.

in doubt do reply
