Cystic Ovaries, Removed, Have Fibroids, Stabbing Pain In Pelvis Groin Area. Had Myomectomy. What Could Be Wrong?

Hi,

I'm 37 and just had a myomectomy and the surgery to remove part of my ovary with the cyst on the left side. (Medium sized fibroids were on the right.) This is week 3 and the right side feels pretty good overall. Only hurts moderately. The left side where the rest of my ovary is...gives me more pain. Around the navel on the left aches but the worst part is the stabbing pain I get near my pelvis groin area. This usually happens after walking around the mall or grocery store. So I try to only get things I really need. My mother keeps saying this is because I don't exercise enough since the surgery. I can't even think about that it hurts so much. I had come off Vicodin but am now going back on for relief especially at bedtime. It's so painful and hard to describe. But it sting/burns. What is it? What can I do on my own to strengthen and fix? I am supposed to return to working next weekend. I am a presenter that stands a lot. I'm nervous right now I can't handle five hour shifts. Thank you for your help. - Melinda

Hi,

It takes time for the organs to heal after such surgery. There will be some discomfort in between. This will slowly reduce and you will be fine after 3 weeks. You dont do heavy excercise now and do only moderate excercise.
