Could Tired, Sleepy, Anxiety, Mood Disorder Be Due To Thyroid Problem?
i am always tired, falling asleep at work and very irratated. I do have anxiety and mood disorder which i take prozac and wellbutrin for, but even after stopping the medication I am still extremely tired even if i have slept for 6 or 7 hours. Could this be a thyroid issue?
Hello, I carefully read your concern and I can understand your query.
You are right to think of any thyroid pathology as a possible cause of your symptoms, especially hypothyroidism (when the thyroid doesn't produce enough hormones) is manifested with symptoms such as:
-Weight gain -Tiredness -Feeling sleepy during the day -Low heart rate -Constipation ect.
I would suggest you to do some hormonal exams as: TSH,FT4, FT3 and a level of Vitamin D, because often the lack of Vitamin D may cause such symptoms.
Hope this will be somewhat helpful and I am opened for further suggestions.
Kind regards,
