Could The Solid Adnexal Mass Be A Fibroma?

I was just informed that I have a 4.5x4.5x3.4 solid adnexal mass (left side), read from a pelvic and transvag us. There is no fluid in the cul-de-sac. Could this be a fibroma? I am having an MRI with and without contrast in a few days. I am 62 and postmenopausal.

Hello and welcome,

The solid adnexal mass may be a fibroma but is more likely to be an ovarian tumor.

So I would highly recommend that in addition to the MRI, an analysis of tumor markers like CA125, AFP, Beta HCG. Of these CA125 is the most important one. This will aid in formulating a diagnosis as well as help during further management.

Hope this satisfies your query.
