Could Spotting Dark Blood With Tiny Skin Pieces While Being On Birth Control For Irregular Periods Indicate Pregnancy?

hello, my son's girlfriend just started seasonal birth control a few months ago because of irregular periods. she wasn't suppose to start for another 2 months. however she is spotting a darker scant amount of blood and she explained to me it looks like tiny skin pieces in it. could she be pregnant?

Hi,

No. I don't think that there is chances of getting pregnant. This condition may be due to irregular shedding of endometrial tissue or there may be associated hormonal irregularities like thyroid hormone disorder. I would suggest you to have a thyroid profile test done and continue with birth control pills.
