Could Epilepsy And Underactive Thyroid Be Inter-related?

Hi I am a 34 yr old female,weigh 9 and a half stone and am five foot two tall.

I have had epilepsy since I was 14 and underactive thyroid since 21. In the last 5 years I have also been getting migraines.

My epilepsy is well controlled until I ahve problems with my hriod levels changing. Then I always seem to recognise signs of epilepsy eg Auras, Lack of awareness of what some one else is saying for 30 sec- 2mins and tiredness after. These being signals I used to have in the period before having a convulsion. Am I correct in linking the two and is there anything I could do to help?

Answer : Yes. Epilepsy and Thyroid Hormone Levels are related. So Please maintain your Thyroid Hormone Levels Properly. That itself will control your seizures to a greater extent
