Could Dry Eyes Be The Cause Of Twitching In Eyes?

top left eyelid twitching I m a 29 year old female who doesn t have any known medical conditions. My top left eyelid has been twitching for a few weeks. It twitches a few times in a row, then is fine for a while. This happens 5-10 times a day and is very annoying. It isn t painful, doesn t cause my eye to close, and doesn t affect any muscle other than my eyelid. When I researched causes online, some causes included being overtired, stressed, too much caffeine, not enough magnesium, and reaction to medication. I m not overtired or stressed more than normal. Actually, I have less stress now than usual and have been getting more sleep than usual. I don t drink soda, and only have coffee a couple times in a month. I am careful to drink enough water, and stay aware of salt and sugar intake because they are migraine triggers. I haven t had a migraine in a few months. I do eat junk food sometimes, but for the most part my diet is fairly healthy and I believe I have enough magnesium in my diet. I don t take any supplements, medications, drinks or pills of any kind. Another possible cause listed was dry eyes. My eyes have always been dry, I ve never experienced this before. To put it into perspective, they are too dry to wear contacts without becoming irritated, but not so dry that I notice anything when I wear glasses. I haven t worn contacts in a few years, do not use eye drops, do not have any irritation or eye issues other than the top left eyelid muscle spasms. Please help me find other possible causes so I can find a solution! This is driving me crazy!!!

Firstly let me assure you mam, that there is nothing serious with you.I have gone through your full text. your daily routine, diet, habbits, all are ok.no worry.
You have correctly studied that usually it is because of being overtired or over stressed but i know your case is not as such.
There is another factor over anxiety for any thing- this is with you.

You have heard since your childhood that twitching of eyelids has some relation with our life style. If there is twitching on left- something will happen n if it is on right, another thing will happen. and this is the cause of your anxity. All these saying are non sense.
Plz get assured that there is no relation of any life event with this twitching.
If it is there, let it be there. You do not care for it.Jus forget it.
I know it is easy to say. But if you can believe that it is of no meaning, it will definitely go.
Everybody used to have twitching some where, commonly on eyes, for such shorter duration. those who ignore-are happier.
but if it is persisting always, do write to me again.
I give u another exaple: Those who believe Ki Billi Rasta Kat Gayi, something will happen, they are the sufferer.
