Corns In The Toes. Pain Persisting After Healing. Need To Get Checked?

About 8 weeks ago I noticed a soft corn that had put a hole between my to toes. I went to the podiatrist and they gave me spacers. The hole closed within a couple of days and when I went back three weeks later they said it had healed. However it is still causing pain. Though the outside looks completely healed it is still difficult to sit indian style or putting pressure on the spot. Should I follow up with a doctor?

Hello,
Welcome to healthcaremagic
There is always a chance of recurrence of corns. Confirming the diagnosis of soft corn in between the toes is also very important. It could be fungal infection ( Candida or Tinea) or even an intertriginous wart.
So I will recommend you to get a dermatologist's opinion. Meanwhile you can use an ointment containing 5-6 % salicylic acid once a day at night. Get this prescribed by your primary care physician.
Hope this helped.
Take care
