Constant Headache, Stiff Neck, Puffy And Red Eyes, Full Ears. CT Scan Normal. What Is Wrong?

I am a 50 year old female and I have constant headaches in my frontal and temporal lobes. My neck is stiff and every time I turn my head it sounds and feels like gravel at the base of my brain. My eyes stay puffy and red and my ears feel full. This has been going on for several months and it is getting worse. I have been to my family doctor. I have had a CT scan and it shows nothing abnormal. My doctor has told me all this is stress related, but I feel like it is much more than stress. They did not check my neck even after I told them how my neck is constantly popping when I move my head. The center and lower parts of my back ache as well. Energy level is very low no matter proper exercise of good eating habits; however, my exercise is limited due to constant neck, back and head pain. What could be wrong with me and what other doctor can I visit other than my family doctor? Thank you.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding headache, limited movements of neck and puffiness over face and eyes.

Since your C.T.Scan is normal therefore your symptoms now supposed to indicate for cervical spondylosis and increased lipids in your blood. You have not mentioned about your blood pressure here we may get some help in finding out real pathology going on.

You are advice for-

1- X-Ray cervical spine (AP & Lateral) view.

2- Lipid profile.

3- Ophthalmic examination by eye specialist.

4- Blood- blood sugar (F & PP), serum creatinin, SGPT, SGOT.

I hope by the inferences of above investigations and there co-relation with clinical examination one may find out the real pathology going on and that may be accordingly manage.

Regards.
