Cold, Sore Throat, On Antibiotic Drops, Symptoms Disappear, Reoccur With Throat Infection, Continue The Same Medicine ?

good morning. I am XXXXX from India. My child ,a boy, is about 12 months and about a week back he had an sore throat and cold . On the advice of a doctor I have given him antibiotic drops and in five days the problem vanishes. Later after two days the cold came back and has the throat infection . Shall I repeat the antibiotic medicine?

For the treatment of present problem of your child more information is needed like has he been having snoring, mouth breathing, has he had nasal problems earlier, was there such similar attack earlier etc.
As the infection has recurred it is important to know if there is any chronic sinus problem, adenoid enlargement, chronic tonsillar infection etc.
So please do not repeat antibiotic yourself.
Show him to an ENT specialist. He can examine the child and determine the reason for recurrence of infection and treat accordingly.
