Chronic Sinusitis, Pressure Sensation. Face Streamer Helps?

Hi I wanted to know about the face streamer. My husband has cronic sinusitis and having problem throughout his face. He had surgery but still complaining about the pressure. And the Ent prefer him for another surgery but can't guarantee will gr rid of the pressure still so someone told me that face streamer is really hood and eefective. Do u know how often he is supposed to use the streamer and the Karvol oil is the best. Is Karvol oil has bad side reflect

Thanks for posting your query on this website. I can fully appreciate your concern for your husband's problem.

1. Firstly, I do not recommend another surgery.

2. He should instead, take steam inhalation (via face steamer) through the NOSE, as many times as possible, daily. Do NOT add karvol oil or any other inhalant in the water.

3. Ask him to take Nasivion / Otrivin Nasal Spray/drops - one drop instilled in each nostril, four times a day, for about 10 days.

4. A condition called allergic rhinitis, is usually the cause of chronic sinusitis. Regular use of Azelastine (Arzep or Azep Nasal Spray thrice daily in each nostril will be of great help.

5. Tab Montu-L one tablet twice daily should be taken regularly.
