Child With Cold, Cough, Fever, Dizzy, Fainted. Worried? What Could Cause This?

Hi doctor , My younger brother 4years and 10months old was suffering from , cold cough and fever the usual flu symptoms . But today he felt dizzy and fainted for 5-6 seconds. He s been fine since then, and been giving him flu medicines prescribed by the doctor. He wasn t out playing in the son so can t be a heat stroke . Just wondering if its okay ? Or should we be worried ? Thanks Sadhvi

Hi there ~

I understand your concerns. If your child has cough, cold, fever, is dizzy and feels faint it is probably due to a viral infection. Flu is the common term used for these kinds of illnesses. I also believe that you should not worry too much about it and give him adequate rest, proper nutrition and hydrate him enough so that it will help with his overall general condition.

I hope this helps. Take care and have a lovely day!
