Child Taken Lox, Metrogyl, Darolac For Loose Motion And Vomiting. Doctor Needed?

Hi, my son is 5years 7months old. He had loose motions and vomitings last seven days. He had taken of lox (antibiotic), metrogyl and darolac( probiotic).as of now loose motions and vomitings stopped.he is still using zirconia for five days still nine more days he has to use. Now motion is normal but green. Do we need to consult doctor agin to recheck here in U.S.A .we came back from India two days before.

Hi,

Thank you for your query.

By giving your son an antibiotic and an anti-amoebic you have virtually covered the whole spectrum of infection and hence his motions have reduced. Continue with Zirconia which is a zinc supplement. You can get a stool examined if loose motions continue and consult a doctor but the need should not arise.
