Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi Amit Gupta,
Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic,
Your child is having gastroenteritis and the loose motions will take time to subside completely.
In mean time you continue the medication as prescribed by your Pediatrician and maintain the hydration of the child by giving oral rehydrating solutions to replace the losses in stools.
If there are signs of dehydration consult your doctor again for further advise.
Hope i have answered your query.

Hi

Do not worry. It might take a couple of days to subside.

You are giving him all the things needed.

If he is active as usual/ he passes urine 4 to 5 times in a day/ his oral intake is okay- you need not worry. He will get okay soon. You may add curd to his diet- as curd has probiotic bacteria naturally- which helps a lot in Viral Diarrhea.

How ever if he has high fever/ you see blood in stools/ he refuses to drink fluids- you might have to see your Pediatrician again.

Hope my answer helps you.
Wish your son good health.

Add zinc for 14 days.
Observe him for signs of dehydration like lethargy, decrease in urine output, increase thirst, dry tongue.sunken eyes.
