Hi Mr. Veda, Your Question is what for levolin and budesol used ? Actually Levolin is a bronchodilator and budesol is a steroid. Both of these drugs are used in management of Bronchial Asthma( mostly an allergic condition in which patient have respiratory distress, noisy breathing and it can be assosiated with cough and cold and it runs in family). From your question it is not clear that whether your children have any symptoms of B. asthma. As doctors are prescribing levolin and budesol each time they suffer from cough and cold, I presume there must be some clinical signs of B. Asthma. As per my opinion you should consult a pediatrician for clinical examination, go for some investigations like eosinophil count in blood, pulmonary function test during the attack which will help in diagnosis and staging of the disease and proper treatment accordingly.
