Child Have A Problem Of Swallowing The Capsule. Can The Capsule Be Broken And Given?

Hello,
my daughter is 6 year old and she is suppose to take natural oral supplements in the capsule form: Digestive enzymes, intestinal cleanser, body purifier. She is not able to swallow the capsule. Can I break down the capsule and give her the "powder texture" by mouth? I want to mention that she has a Eosiniophilic Esophagitis.

Hello:
Some capsules can be opened and given the contents in the powder for, but other cannot, they might be enteric coated to resist the acid in the stomach and are meant to dissolve further down the intestinal tract. My suggestion is that you ask the pharmacist if your particular capsule can be opened or not.
