Can Using Oxytocin Cause Any Side Effects During Child Birth?
sir i want to ask that if during labour infant is not comee out we will give oxytocin so uterus contract and birth happen normally..so its in normal delivery...but after that if expanded uterus cant be in normal size and due to oxytocin if bleeding occur severly...what should do further?

Oxytocin doesnot cause any harm to the fetus if used in correct dose and with proper monitoring.. Overdose can harm the fetus.. After delivery, oxytocin is continued for 4 hrs to mke the uterus contract so that there wont be heavy bleeding in the postpartum period.. It also helps in milk ejection faster.. If bleeding is severe and not controlled with oxytocin there are other medications to contract uterus.. So dont worry.. Hope I have answered your query.. Good day..
