Can The Vagina Regain The Shape After Hysterectomy?
I had a full hysterectomy 8 yrs.ago,I have had horribly painful intercourse with my husband since..I finally found out today the likely cause..the "purse suture"that is done when the cervix is removed.I and my husband both have known for quite sometime that my vagina was not as deep I can not even take half of him,needless to say..I AM PISSED OFF!!What I would like to know... is fusion common after this purse suture,and how can I do anything to try to regain the shape of what was,quite frankly one of the most perfect vaginas ever created by God Almighty.This may sound as if I am joking,and ,yes,I am trying my very best NOT to flip out , but, my god! If you can share any knowledge of this and wht I might be able to do,please respond.Thank You,Rainne

Hello and welcome to HCM,
After hysterectomy and suturing of the vaginal stump, it is not possible to create a vagina similar to the original one.
However, do not loose hope.
A vagina can be built with the help of surgical procedure.
Again the new built vagina will not be like the original one but still be better and longer than the current one.
For this you will have to consult a plastic surgeon for vaginoplasty.
