Hello-
I suffer from complicated migraines and take preventative medication on a daily basis. The medication has helped significantly, I still get migraines but the length has decreased. Before I started taking the meds an average episode was 8 to 12 hours, now it's 2 to 4. Not to mention that all those crippling symptoms vomiting, light sensitivity numbness, diarrhea (to name a few are gone. However, Last night I had such a terrible migraine ,that I was actually a little scared. For one thing I went to sleep and woke up with the migraine. But I noticed that my tongue was somewhat swollen last night. Neither of those things have happened before. Can the two be connected? Should I follow up with my neurologist. I have no food allergies or sensitivities.
