Can Surgical Boots Be Removed In Bed At Night?
I have broken the fifth metatarsal on my left foot and is in a surgical boot for six weeks. It is now only 5 days since I did it and am weight bearing as it is not painful. I have taken no pain killers. Is this ok to do and can I remove the boot in bed at night.

After going through the brief description of yours. You can remove shoes at bedtime and in place of it you may wrap compression bandage (crepe bandage). To enhance bone healing you may take diet rich in calcium (1000mg/day) and vitamin D (1000 i.u. /day). Vitamin D is available in weekly dose pattern as well as injection, just talk to your local doctor.
