Due For Surgery For Removal Of Lipomas On Ankles. Suggested Complete Off Feet For A Week Followed By Little Walk For 3 Weeks. Right Advice?

I am suppose to have surgery on Thursday to remove lipomas on both ankles. I was told I have to go to a surgical hospital to have removed with conscious sedation and that I will have to be completely off my feet for 4-5 days, with feet elevated above my heart, wearing the boots on both feet and icing every 30 minutes, then really off my feet for 3 full weeks other than to just get up and walk around a bit. no shopping, cooking, cleaning anything where i'll be on my feet long. Does that sound right?

Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Removal of lipoma is a day care procedure. I operate the patient and discharge them the same day and they go walking the same day.
I hope I have answered your query.

Take care
