Can Stomach Problems Cause TB?
hello..i had got my mom checked for the montoux test and the report is positive.Although she has no specific chest symptoms.She has been having loose motions for the last 2-3 weeks,which have been on and off.She had got typhoid a month ago and has been having stomach problems since.Can this be a case of tb?

Having Montoux test positive has not much significance in adult.
For confirmation of TB requires some investigations like,
X-ray chest,
Complete blood testlike TC, DC, ESR etc.
Sputum examination,
Ultra sound of abdomen.
H/o weight loss
After all reports and clinical examination proper diagnosis should be made.
Ok and take care.
