Can Smoking Pot Affect On Thyroid Level?

I've been smoking pot off and on for about 8 years now and more regularly the last two of the eight years. Recently I have had spots of alopecia areata and a great deal of weight gain, can weed effect your thyroud? I take phentermine during the day now, but worry that could contribute to any possible thyroid issues.

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

You have hair loss and weight gain. So it can be due to hypothyroidism. You should check your T3, T4 and TSH level and plan accordingly.
As such smoking pot does not affect thyroid much.

Hope I have answered your question.
If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer.
Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you very good health.
