Can Perianal Abscess Be Treated Permanently?

I am 30 weeks pregnant and was just diagnosed with perianal abscess for the first time in my life. The doctor did not drain the abscess and I was just put on a course of anti-biotics for 10 days. Will I be ok with this treatment? Will the problem reoccur?

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
If the perianal abscess is small, then it can be treated by antibiotics.
However, if it is large and extensive, involving more of the perianal area, then the drainage should be done.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
