Can Osteoarthritis Of Shoulder And Ankle, Following An Injury, Spread To Knees?

I have a stiff right knee, but no pain. I've had it for a couple of months, but not all the time. Could osteoarthritis travel to other areas once it is in the body. I have OA in my right shoulder and right ankle. They both have had injuries. The shoulder was broken in 1991, and the ankle was sprain with small tear to achilles tendon in 2007.
