Can One Take Nor Metrogyl For Diarrhea ?

My 4 year old son was affected by dengue fever last one week and he stay in the hospital,yesterday only he came to home but now he was affected in diarrhea the toilet was going watery and yellow colour what food I want to give shall I give nor- metrogyl.

Thanks for contacting HCM for health query.
Your grandson had dengue fever last week ,admitted and got discharged yesterday.Now he has diarrhoea.

Sir dengue fever per se can cause diarrhoea.

It's a viral fever and can bring down the immunity and the child is prone to secondary bacterial infection.

In either of the case make sure that the child is replenished with plenty of fresh fruit juices,tender coconut water etc.watch for fever sponge with normal water if runs temperature

Since the child has recovered from severe viral fever I recommend you to show to doctor before giving medicine.
