Can Numbness Be Treated Caused By Epidural Steroid Injection In Lumbar Area?

I had a epidural steroid injection today in my left lumbar area. He hit my nerve causing immediate pain and numbness but that has gone away. Now my heart rate is beating 108 to 111 for awhile. I was very hot and flush had to turn heat off and fan on. More concerned about heart rate.

Hi,
The epidural injection will not be the cause of your raised heart rate. Steroids do not cause this side-effect. Your heart rate is likely to settle over the course of the next few hours. It may be due to anxiety.
