Can Low Sugar Level And Deposition Of Water In Body Cause Seizures?

Hi My mom is 65yrs she is diebatic and she is in the hospital as her sugar level went low and there was water fill in her belly, hands & legs they treadted her for that and now she is having seizure this is 3 seizure in this week what can be done please help

Her blood sugar and serum electrolytes has to be monitored and corrected. Tests like serum albumin will help to find cause of swelling. Hypoglycemia (low sugar) may also cause seizures. Since she is elderly(aged 65 years), we should relax treatment goals for diabetes and try to avoid hypoglycaemia .
