Can Large Circular Hematoma On The Thighs Be Compartment Syndrome?

I have a large circular hematoma (about 6" in diamiter) that appeared on my upper left theigh. The center looks almost normal in color but there is a hard lump there about the size of a hazelnut and it is very tender to the touch. I do not remember any injury. I do have osteoarthritis and my hip joints hurt and are tender to the touch (sometimes more than tender). I have to remember to turn frequiently at night or my pain reminds me. I also take insaids and have for many years. Could this be compartment syndrom? I am not in anydiscomfort but the lump does hurt if I touch it. Both hip joints have been tender for a long time
