Can I Contract HPV Through Protected Intercourse?

Just wondering, my girlfriend has just been diagnosed with HPV. She is my first and only sexual partner. She has had one other partner besides me. We have used condoms every time. What are my risks of contracting HPV and what health issues could that lead to? I am a 22 year old male.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
HPV infection can be transmitted by sexual route.
It can be transmitted by unprotected sexual contact.
However, since you are practsing protected sex, the chances of transmitting HPV infection is very low.
Your partner can take HPV vaccination to control the infection to an extent.

Thanks and take care
