Can Familon Stop Period Abruptly?

hi I have been prescribed familon as an oral contraceptive, i have started it on the day 1 of my periods and the periods have stopped on day 2. is this normal? and i feel water retention in my body. do i need to check on with the doctor again or this is normal?

Hi,

Kindly do not worry. OCP can be started on any day.The effectiveness may decrease based on when it is started,otherwise it can be taken any day. A gap of seven days should be given before taking the next month tablets.You will have withdrawal bleeding during this time.
