Do Antibiotics Interfere With Contraceptive Pills?
I started taking antibiotics on Friday night (Clarithromycin) - dosage is two pills a day so I took one as it was night time. Before I went to bed I took my contraceptive pill (Microlite) as normal. I had sex on Saturday morning. I know some antibiotics interfere with the contraceptive pill. Am I at risk of getting pregnant? Can I use Microlite as an emergency contraceptive? How many do I need to take and how often? I m 28, 5ft5 and weigh 8 stone.

There is no drug interaction between Clarithromycin and Microlite that you take. Make sure you take a contraceptive pill every day and regularly so the effect stays good.
