Can Elevated PSA Or Zoloft Causes Hesitancy Upon Urination?

My husband had a physical and his blood test showed an elevated PSA of 5.5. He is inly 38 years old. He does take zoloft for anxiety. Ever since he started the medication, he has hesitancy upon urination. Could the elevated PSA also be explained by the Zoloft?

Hello,

Zoloft may not cause elevation of PSA or urine hesitancy. It may be due to benign prostatic hypertrophy or urinary tract infection or epidimitis. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. please get it done digital rectal examination is done. Get it done ultrasound of prostate and urine examination. Please review with reports and consult with your urologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
