Can Dysplasia Be Caused By Frequent, Rough Vaginal Intercourse Other Than By HPV?

I received a letter from my gynecologist stating that I have a mild dysplasia. I know it may be caused by HPV or it may not be anything at all. But is HPV the only cause of dysplasia, or can it be caused by frequent intercourse or even rough vaginal intercourse?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Frequent or rough vaginal intercpurse cannot result in cervical dysplasia. The one and only cause for cervical dysplasia is found to be HPV, and it id almost 99% sure that in your case also the dysplasia is most probably due to HPV infection. I am sorry to inform you about this.

Hope this answers your question.

Best wishes.
