Hi,

It is first 6-12 months of using the Depo shot, it is expected for your menstrual cycle to be irregular. For most women, periods become fewer and lighter. As you continue to use Depo contraceptive injection, you may skip a period or stop having periods completely. This is normal. More than half of all women who use Depo contraceptive injection for one year have no menstrual bleeding. Having no periods doesn't mean you are pregnant. Taking birth control pill is an effective to prevent pregnancy and treat many medicals condition.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
