Is It Safe To Switch From TriNessa To Mononessa?
I ve been taking Trinessa for a year and since I had to switch doctors to get a regul on the prescription, the new doctor didn t recommend trinessa and put me on mononessa. Will this cause any side effects? Is if less effective? Is it still safe to not use condoms?

Hello,
Although there is some difference in these drugs but basically they are equally effective n preventing pregnancy and There is no need to use condoms on switching of the medication.Both have NORGESTIMATE and ETHINYLESTRADIOL.
While mononessa contains the same amount of hormone for all the three weeks of active pill,trinessa has increasing amount of hormones in every week of the three weeks of active pills.
