Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just started Bupropion 150mg sr today. I only took one today as directed- take 1 tablet daily for 3 days then take one tablet twice a day . I do believe I had a headache before I took the medicine but after I took my first tablet for the first day my headache has gotten much much worse to the point where it almost feels like a migraine... can this be caused by the new medication I m on?
Yes, it may cause headache as its side effect. Bupropion is an atypical antidepressant commonly prescribed for the treatment of depression, smoking de-addiction and other conditions.
Its common side effects include dry mouth, sweating, headache, nervousness, anxiety, tremors, and agitation. Ask your doctor for its dose adjustment or an alternate effective but a safer medicine.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
