Can Birth Control Cause Elevated Bilirubin Counts?

My daughter is in the hospital for elevated bilirubin counts. About a week ago a doctor thought it was Wilson's (inherited?) but, now they are saying it is too high for that. Her grandfather had pancreatic cancer (He was a smoker--she is not a smoker or drinker) 4 years ago. Could it be birth control? Since stopping the birth control she has not had a period in 2-3 months and tests say she is not pregnant. She also had high bilirubin counts 6-7 years ago before she got married.

Hi, dear.
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
She may have some liver disease. You should go for complete liver function test including ast, alt, alkaline phosphatase and ggt. You should also go for liver biopsy. This will clear all doubts and give exact diagnosis.
Then you should take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer.
