Can Banana Intake Cause Nausea & Stomach Pain

I recently had food poisoning or I thought it was food poisoning because I experienced vomiting. I had it the day before yesterday and I just stopped vomiting yesterday. But I ate a banana today just as I did the other day. I m not vomiting but I do feel nauseous and a jabbing stomach pain. Is it possible that the banana is causing it?

Hello,

I understand your concern. Food poisoning can cause quite an upset. It is possible that your stomach is not ready yet for certain food intake and bananas are rich in starch, which is not very easy digestable. You need to take plenty of liquids, warm soup, milk and/or yoghurt, until your stomach is ready to digest other more complicated meals.
Feel better soon and all the best.
