Yes he can climb staircase but slowly and steadily if there is no pain or discomfert at the operation region

see there are multiple parmeters to decide for ambulation of such patients like - cause of hernia , weight for age of patient , operative result ,supersed infection , comorbid conditions ,ability to walk on level ground first --all these need to looked before deciding -- its better to discuss this with the treating surgeon
