Can Tylenol Be Taken For Headache Due To Head Injury?

Hi may I please ask you a question? My boyfriend has epilepsy and he take 1 pill a day of Zonisamide, we were playing around and he hit his head on our kitchen wall pretty hard now he has a headache. Is he allowed to take a Tylenol so the pain could go away? We are unsure because of his medication that he takes one a day (Zonisamide).

Thank you,
Stephanie

Hi,Welcome to Health care magic forum.
He can take any non sedating anti inflammatory drugs for pain relief. He should avoid the medicine which has the seizures as a side effect. That too due to thew epilepsy, but not due to the zonisamide.
As you describe it was a very hard blow, so it is wise to consult a neurologist to exclude any head injury.
It may be necessary to have an M.R.I. for excluding the head injury.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
